But only if you’re American.
Meet a Datsun 210.
For reasons that are unclear, this was a B210 in North America (the next model dropped the B) whereas elsewhere it was a 120Y or 140Y Sunny, the numbers denoting 1.2 or 1.4 engines. No, neither was exactly quick but those were different times.

I have a lovely brown ‘74 B210. The 1.3L motor only made 75hp when new. It is indeed very, very slow. But still somehow fun to drive. Out of all the cars I’ve owned in my lifetime, this one gets the most stares, approving waves, and looks of bewilderment.

Hey, that was my first car back in 1986! It was given to me with about 300K miles on it. It was a rusty, slow, POS with bald tires. I learned how to slide around in the snow in that little beast.
I didn’t know anything about maintenance and didn’t do a darn thing to it, except drive the hell out of it. It was like a cockroach, you couldn’t kill it.
Here’s an ancient picture of me and the B210, circa 1987 or so.

I had a Mediterranean blue 4 dr 1975 B210 with the 1.5. Hell of a car. It dropped a valve seat and the engine self destructed.
Looked like this but with 4 doors.

Well, if you want to take to the air at least make it something little known!

And rear wheel drive, looks like. Datsun have always had quirky styling.
IN OTHER DATSUN NEWS: I am driving a Nissan Versa that I bought for $1500 and replaced the engine and transmission. So I have about $3500 total in the car. But even though it’s the worst color I’ve seen on a car in years, and even though it looks goofy, it’s a versatile, comfortable, (reasonably) peppy and
entirely
sensible car. Good throttle response, positive shift points on the transmission, nimble, precise steering and excellent brakes. The seats are a bit higher off the pavement and the doors swing wide. Easy to get in and out of.

Neat car. Those are virtually extinct even in the PNW, haven’t seen one in ages. I remember when I was a little kid, I liked the fastback styling and the various hubcap designs.
